Oval cut, gem grade andalusites are a phenomena of color.  Like their cousins, moonstone and labradorite, andalusite gems play with light: bending it into unexpected colors.  The colors in these gems show a spectrum between a bright orangish red and subdued olive green.  In between are shade of gold, and champagne, and an occasional flec of sparkle.
